Bulls boss Jake White believes that Marcell Coetzee’s Springbok recall is inevitable as the Bulls captain has shown “outstanding” form of late.
Coetzee has been a colossus for his team, leading by example and using his wealth of experience to navigate the Bulls through their first season against European opposition.
The Bulls skipper has not enjoyed the same luck with the Springboks, often missing selection due to injury and ultimately falling out of contention as a result.
Crucial player for the Bulls
Now a veteran in the game Coetzee has been key for the Bulls getting over the line in crucial moments as he did in the 29-24 United Rugby Championship win against Munster in Pretoria on Saturday.
“He was outstanding on Saturday again, wasn’t he?” “His time will come. I’ve said to him his time would come,” White told reporters.
“There’s a lot of rugby still to be played and the only way you’re going to make it is if you keep banging the door down like he does every week and then the door will open.”
